Gas Appliances

Our safety checks ensure that:

  • The operating pressure and heat input of the appliance is working the manufacturers specification.
  • Flues or chimneys connected to the appliance are working properly.
  • The appliance is suitable for the room, properly set up, fitted and connected and gas is burning correctly.
  • There is an adequate, permanent air supply.
  • All safety devices are operating.

A Gas Installation Safety Check includes all of the above appliance checks, plus:

  • All accessible gas pipework is inspected to check it is in good condition.
  • The gas pipework is tested for leaks.

Gas Safe Registered

We are Gas Safe Registered, and gas safe engineers are the only people legally allowed to work on gas heating systems, boilers, cookers, fires and any other gas appliance.

We will always carry a badge with the Gas Safe yellow triangle on it and you can check by phoning the Gas Safe Register on 0800 408 5500

Landlord Inspection

If you’re a landlord, you are legally required to have a Gas Installation Safety Check done under the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998.

You must have a gas safety check carried out annually for all appliances owned by you in each of your properties. If an appliance, eg a cooker, is owned by the tenant, you are not legally responsible for having it checked.
